Humans were made to move, but also to think, the idea that stress can put a physical hitch in our giddy-up is fascinating. Over the last 12 years as a Licensed Massage Therapist the body has taught me so much about our mind to muscle connection and how important it is to tap into that. Longevity is a word we often hear in the wellness world, the truth is your mobility is directly related to the length and quality of your life, ergo move better live longer- clinical massage WILL help you move better.
Every client is a puzzle, finding imbalances in the kinetic chain (human movement) is my favorite pass time, empowering clients with the tools to correct those issues post treatment is my passion. This passion comes from being an athlete myself and fighting through injuries only to find that mobility and balanced movement is the key to *most issues.
In 2009 I attended Heritage College and graduated with my Massage Therapy degree, in 2017 I found my niche in "bodywork", I hold certifications in Neuromuscular Therapy and Advanced Deep Tissue, CRM (Orthopedic Massage), and Clinical Assessment. These CEU's give me the ability to provide clients with so much more than "just a massage" (not to say a relaxation massage every other visit isn't nice, because it is!) these treatments are therapeutic and get you moving better quicker, so you can enjoy the quality of your life longer. Knowledge is power and I greatly enjoy continuing education, which means my massage evolves every year to help clients get the best care available
You will reap the benefits of massage if it becomes a regular part of your life. My goal is for us to work together to help you move better longer.
Communication is key. I need to know what you're feeling, experiencing and what you're looking to gain in order to best help you. In turn, I will explain the treatment and what you can expect to gain from it.
Massage is a tool to help you move better and connect to your body on a deeper level. Whether it's stress, mobility work or simply to pamper yourself, the benefits of massage and my referral network can help you move and feel better.
NMT is a type of soft tissue massage that aims to alleviate chronic muscle and nervous system disorders and problems. It is mainly used to fix trigger point, circulation, nerve compression, postural problems and repetitive movement injuries. This will improve your flexibility and mobility therefore helping your joints to function better while reducing pain and swelling.
The goal of Swedish Massage is to melt away muscle tension and increase the blood flow to your heart. Swedish Massage is extremely therapeutic as it decreases muscle toxins, increases oxygen levels in the blood, and improves flexibility in the body.
Hot Stone Massage is often paired with Swedish Massage. Stones are heated and used with oils to sooth, warm, and massage your muscles. This allows your body to relax and release tension and stress.
